Cape Town is about to be dazzled! On Saturday, 4 October 2025, the College of Magic will host the Magicana Junior Magic Championships at the Homecoming Centre in District Six – an unforgettable day of illusions, sleight-of-hand, and theatrical wonder.

From pint-sized performers to teen prodigies, the city’s most talented young magicians will battle for the title of Junior Magic Champion across three exciting competitions:

Close-Up Magic (3pm – Avalon Auditorium)

An intimate showcase of card tricks, coin illusions, and uncanny predictions performed right before your eyes.

Stage Magic (7pm – Star Theatre)

A grand evening spectacle featuring dazzling costumes, large-scale illusions, and storytelling with flair.

Street Magic (Foyer – between shows)

Expect spontaneous magic as budding performers roam the venue with jaw-dropping tricks for the whole family.

Special Guest Performance

South Africa’s own One Crazy China – Li Lau will deliver a daring performance filled with danger, humour, and world-class showmanship.

This annual championship is more than a contest – it’s a celebration of imagination, creativity, and skill, offering entertainment for all ages.
