From breakfast radio to baby bottles, media powerhouse Mishka Loesch is embracing her most life-changing role yet.

The presenter, actress, model, MC, voice artist, life coach, speaker, philanthropist and GoodHope FM newsreader opens up about welcoming her son Daxon, navigating sleepless nights with her husband Donovan, and finding joy in the messy magic of motherhood.

A New Season of Life

On 23 April 2025, Mishka and Donovan welcomed their baby boy, Daxon. “Everything changed the moment I saw him,” she says. “My heart exploded and expanded in ways I’d never thought possible.”

From Beauty Queen to Radio Host

Mishka’s career began on the pageant stage, as a 2014 Miss South Africa finalist, before she carved a path across TV, modelling and radio. Her Mishka Loesch Success Classes (launched in 2015) mentored pre-teens on confidence and vision-building, later evolving into life coaching.

Today, she balances her empowering work with her role at GoodHope FM – currently on pause until October while she embraces maternity leave.

A Love Story, 13 Years Strong

Mishka and Donovan tied the knot in 2020 at Somerset West’s Vredenburg Manor House. Five years later, their marriage entered a new season.

“It’s taught us to slow down,” Mishka reflects. Donovan, she shares with a laugh, is already buying LEGO for their son.

Motherhood: Perfectly Imperfect

Although her birth plan ended in an emergency C-section, Mishka cherishes the moment she first held her son. “It’s absolutely, wonderfully chaotic.

Perfectly imperfect,” she says of motherhood. She’s also amazed at the instinctive strength of mothers. “We’re superheroes. We’ve got this!”

Between Feeds and Facials

Despite the whirlwind of naps and nappy changes, Mishka prioritises self-care. Her “self-care Sundays” of DIY facials, hair treatments and nails are still non-negotiable.

“It’s about balance and showing my son the importance of resilience and self-worth,” she says.

Looking Ahead

Mishka hopes to raise Daxon as “a gentleman with a good heart and a playful spirit.” She’s eagerly anticipating milestones, from his first steps to his first words.

Fans can expect her back on GoodHope FM from 1 October, though leaving baby Daxon will be bittersweet.

“Motherhood has changed my entire life,” Mishka says simply. “And I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
