Cape Town, South Africa. Comic Con Cape Town is thrilled to announce that the Children’s Hospital Trust has been selected as the official charity for the 2025 event. This exciting partnership aims to raise funds and awareness for the vital services and support that the Trust provides to children and their families across the region.
Comic Con Cape Town is renowned for celebrating pop culture, comic books, gaming, and entertainment, while also fostering community relationships. This year, the convention will not only ignite the imaginations of fans but will also play a significant role in making a positive impact in the lives of children facing health challenges.
A unique focus of this year’s partnership will be honouring the “superhero children” who bravely face their medical battles. These remarkable kids exhibit extraordinary courage and resilience, embodying the very qualities we celebrate in our favourite superheroes.

Throughout the weekend, Comic Con Cape Town will host various fundraising side events, including Coffee and Comics on May 1st at Truth Coffee, a Comedy Night on May 2nd at the Protea Hotel Fire & Ice, hosted by Mark Palmer. Happening on May 3rd at Outlore Base, The Improv Cart will feature actors taking the stage to create fun and entertaining short-form improv, followed by a JAM where willing audience members can join in on the fun! All proceeds will go towards the Children’s Hospital Trust. Tickets are available on Howler, and festival visitors can also show their support by adding a donation to their ticket purchase.
The Children’s Hospital Trust is dedicated to providing children with access to high quality healthcare closer to home. Improving hospital infrastructure, equipment and training for clinicians. By partnering with Comic Con Cape Town, the Trust hopes to
enhance its programs and continue providing excellent healthcare services to children in need.
