Salamina Mosese Unveils Neo’s Invisible Blanket

After the success of Disaster at Gogo’s Spaza and Cook-Off at Gogo’s Spaza, actress and producer Salamina Mosese returns with Neo’s Invisible Blanket.

Inspired by her nephew and daughters, the story follows Neo, a young boy who finds bravery with the help of his big sister Thandi and a magical invisible blanket. But will it be enough to face his new school and the dreaded swimming gala?

Illustrated by Subi Bosa, the book celebrates courage, sibling love, and the power of believing in yourself.

From Screen Star to Storyteller

With over 25 years in South African entertainment, Mosese is a household name from Soul Buddyz, 7de Laan, Top Billing, and Netflix’s The Ultimatum South Africa.

Beyond the screen, she has made her mark as managing director of Sorele Media, producing hits like Baby Mamas.

But it’s her children’s storytelling that’s gaining critical acclaim. Her previous title Cook-Off at Gogo’s Spaza is currently shortlisted for the 2025 Children’s Book Prize at the South African Book Awards.

To ensure Neo’s story reaches children everywhere, Neo’s Invisible Blanket will be available in English, isiZulu, isiXhosa, Sepedi, and Afrikaans.
