The brand-new trailer and poster for Freakier Friday have officially dropped, and they’re serving up nostalgia, chaos, and Curtis-Lohan comedy gold.
Yes, you read that right! Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan are back as Tess and Anna Coleman in the long-awaited sequel to Disney’s beloved 2003 classic. It’s been over two decades since they swapped lives (and wardrobes), and now it looks like history might be repeating itself… with even more mayhem.

Set to open exclusively in cinemas on 8 August 2025, Freakier Friday picks up years after the original chaos. Anna (Lohan) is now a mum herself, juggling her daughter and a soon-to-be stepdaughter. And just when things couldn’t get more complicated, life throws a magical curveball – again. Because why deal with family drama the normal way when you can throw in a bit of body-swapping déjà vu?

Directed by Nisha Ganatra (Late Night, The High Note), the film promises a fresh take on the fan-favourite formula, with plenty of heart, humour, and freaky fun. The star-studded cast includes Julia Butters, Sophia Hammons, Manny Jacinto, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Rosalind Chao, Chad Michael Murray (yes, that Chad Michael Murray), Vanessa Bayer, and Mark Harmon.
Behind the scenes, the film is produced by Kristin Burr and Andrew Gunn with Jamie Lee Curtis also wearing a producer’s hat. Executive producers include Lindsay Lohan, Nathan Kelly and Ann Marie Sanderlin.
Only in cinemas from 8 August.
Body swap responsibly.
